Americans had a base on Terceira!! St Maria!! Story of building a landing strip, then American drove jeeps off the cliff rather than giving them to Portuguese!!
Trucks carrying cement, Portuguese tossing them off! Half the houses in Vila do Porto were built from American cement!
The American taking care of/ supplying toilet paper! How many rabishels do the Portuguese have to use so much paper!?!?! After an inspection of the P workers' barracks, he found they were hoarding them to take back home!!!

Maria Utilia & Joao Graca, the father came all the way from Liberia, he was working for Pan American, he shows up in Pico!! They didn't put in an airport in Faial until late 1960s!! He came by boat to Faial, then Pico!!
We had taken refuge in Pico during the earthquakes, May of 1958!! 13 of May, it shook so much that everyone thought the island would sink!! There was a big ship asked to wait & see if they could save people!!!
